What is Manuka Honey?
Manuka Honey is an all-natural monofloral honey that’s made in New Zealand and is renowned for its rich flavour and deep golden colour. It’s been used in traditional medicine and is widely recognised for its antibacterial qualities — making it a delicious choice for a healthy balanced diet.
Plus, our Manuka Honey is certified to contain a minimum of 100mg/kg of the antibacterial compound MGO, so you can be sure of its quality.
What is MGO?
MGO, or methylglyoxal, is the naturally occurring antibacterial compound that makes Manuka Honey so special. Although MGO is found in other types of honey, it’s found in much higher concentrations in manuka — making this the delicious all-natural choice.
While all types of honey have antibacterial properties, due to naturally-occurring hydrogen peroxide, our Manuka Honey is one of the few kinds that have MGO.

What are the benefits of Manuka Honey?
Manuka Honey is special because it’s produced solely from the flowers the manuka bush, delivering a distinctively rich flavour, that’s different to regular honey.
It’s the perfect way to naturally sweeten foods like yoghurt and porridge, that’s also fat-free — so you can satisfy your sweet tooth cravings without derailing your diet.
And, our Manuka Honey is certified to contain a minimum of 100mg/kg of antibacterial compound methylglyoxal (MGO).
